At Quant Arc, we don't start with a fixed style or a preconceived answer. We listen, understand and explore before we design.
The result is architecture that is thoughtful without being complicated, contemporary without chasing trends, and designed to work as well in everyday life as it does on paper.
Who We Are
Quant Arc is a Chennai-based architecture and design studio with a perspective shaped by international design exposure in New York and grounded in the realities of designing and building in India.
The practice was founded by Surya Theja, whose background includes architectural education in the United States, design exposure in New York, professional experience in Dubai and work across India.
We are not trying to produce the same kind of building every time. We are building a body of work that reflects good planning, strong design judgement and careful execution.
Our focus is on architecture, interiors and design development, with a strong interest in residential, commercial and bespoke projects.

Materials and details are not chosen simply because they photograph well. We consider how they perform, feel, age and contribute to the overall experience.
Design within reality.
Budget, construction and maintenance are part of good design. We prefer having practical conversations early rather than compromising the project later.

Surya Theja
Founder & Principal Designer

Surya Theja Sudhagar is an architectural designer with a background shaped by design education, international exposure and an interest in the relationship between architecture, climate, material and human experience.
His wider design experience spans residential development, public landscapes, climate-responsive environments, computational studies, architectural visualisation, material research and prototyping.
His portfolio includes academic and professional experience across the United States, Dubai and India, from climate responsive design investigations in New York to large-scale residential design experience in Dubai.
He established Quant Architecture in India to bring those experiences together into a practice that is contemporary in its thinking while remaining practical and sensitive to the realities of building locally.
His approach is simple: understand deeply, design thoughtfully and make every decision count
